Professor of Systems Biology in Nutrition and Health, Liggins Institute

Martin’s research focuses on the interplay between genes, diet and lifestyle, in order to act upon healthy ageing and disease prevention, with a focus on metabolic, intestinal and immune health.

Dr Olivier Gasser

Dr Olivier Gasser

Immunology team leader, Malaghan Institute

Olivier’s research focus is on the communication between the immune system and host metabolism, with a strong emphasis on the gut and its resident microbes.

Amy Lovell

Amy is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian, currently completing her PhD. Her research focuses on early life nutrition and ensuring that children have the best start to a lifetime of eating.

Clare’s main research focus is the interrelationship between the determinants of nutritional status and health outcomes in the paediatric population.

Nicole’s research focuses on unlocking the science of how food affects human gastrointestinal health.

Hannah is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian, who recently completed her studies at the University of Auckland. Her research has been focused on using nutrition to enhance quality of life for all ages.
